SURF SPORTS GOLDY CAMP REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN (U11 AND UP)
The Point Leo Surf Sports Program aims to develop our members’ skills, fitness and confidence in surf lifesaving related sports. This year we are in the fantastic position to be offering a “mega-camp” for the Point Leo members aged U11 and up. We will have a range of external and club coaches catering for all standards of club members wanting to improve their surf sports skills, have fun, make new friends and for interested athletes work on high level training/competition skills.
We have confirmed Trevor Hendy (Nutragrain legend and member of the Australian kayak team) and Harriet Brown (Nutragrain and Coolangatta Gold iron woman champion). Coaching will be focussed on board, ski, swim and iron.
Our base will be around Palm Beach SLSC which is an outstanding facility situated directly on the beach with a large indoor and outdoor area with views from Burleigh to Currumbin. This camp has been run for many years and has been a formative step for many of our members (some say life changing!).
This camp replaces the U14-15 Point Leo board camp. The outstanding coaches and methods to develop paddling skills on the longer “cadet” boards will be offered to members as part of the program. Learn how to paddle effectively on your knees and control your cadet board through the Gold Coast surf!
Starts: 30th September 2019
Ends: 4th October 2019
Participants must find their own accommodation as this is not an overnight stay camp and food is self-catered.
Price will be $220 per participant which is great value given the quality of the coaching and the overall experience.
If you are interested in this camp please register on the form below and pay using the online payment button on the Point Leo SLSC website (make sure you select Point Leo as your club and enter your name and Board camp in the details section).
For any queries about the camp please contact Jon Ford (Head Coach) on firstname.lastname@example.org. Looking forward to a great camp on the Goldy!
