The Bronze Camp is held in December each year. Principally designed for our budding younger members, participants train for their Surf Bronze Medallion, the core qualification of every Surf Lifesaver. To attend, candidates must be 15 years of age on 30th September 2021 and be able to swim 400m in 9 minutes or less.
The 2021 Point Leo SLSC Bronze Camp will be held from 18th December to 23rd December 2021. At the moment we are unable to advise if the camp will be residential or day only due to the current COVID situation. Once this is decided the cost of the camp and payment instructions will be advised to all who have registered. The camp fee will cover training materials, patrol uniform, camp drink bottle and camp top (and, if applicable, food).
Bronze camp registrations for existing members only are now open. If you haven’t renewed your membership yet, please do so immediately as you can’t register for Bronze camp if you aren’t a member (See Renewal Information button left). Registrations will close on October 15th so register now so that you don’t miss out.
If you have friends who are not members that want to attend the camp please ask them to register their names on the Bronze Camp waiting list. Please don’t give them this link as it is only for current members of the club.
Candidates will be provided with further information on course requirements once they register. There is a requirement to complete online learning prior to the commencement of the course so it is important to register early so that you get the information on how to complete this as soon as possible.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic courses may change. We will follow the rules and regulations set by the government as well as follow guidelines set by Surf Life Saving Australia and Life Saving Victoria. If any changes do occur, we will contact any participants of course as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
If you have any general queries about the camp please contact Brittany Morgenthaler on email firstname.lastname@example.org
